Please read these terms carefully before using Shoelist.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Shoelist website and services (“Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Service Description
Shoelist is a Web Order Ltd website — an information platform that allows schools to publish shoe requirements, parents to browse those requirements, and retailers and brands to list their products. Shoelist acts solely as an intermediary and does not manufacture, sell, endorse, or recommend any footwear products.
3. No Warranties
All Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content, including school shoe lists, retailer information, or brand product data
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Shoelist, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services
- Damages arising from any content posted by schools, retailers, brands, or other users
- Damages arising from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
- Any purchase decisions made based on information found on our platform
- The conduct of any third party on the Services
In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid to Shoelist in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Shoelist, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of a third party
- Any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Services
6. Third-Party Content & Links
Shoelist does not verify, endorse, or assume responsibility for any content provided by schools, retailers, brands, or other users. This includes but is not limited to:
- School shoe list requirements and specifications
- Retailer product listings, prices, and availability
- Brand product descriptions and images
- External websites linked from our platform
You acknowledge that any reliance on such content is at your own risk. Always verify shoe requirements directly with your school before making purchases.
7. User Responsibilities
By using Shoelist, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information when creating accounts or submitting content
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and notify us promptly of any unauthorised access
- Use the Services only for their intended purpose and in compliance with applicable laws
- Not attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Not use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity
8. Subscriptions & Payments
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless required by law
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days’ notice
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account
9. Intellectual Property
All Shoelist branding, design, code, and original content are the property of Shoelist. Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Shoelist a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Services.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
