Shoe Guidelines
School Shoes
Pupils must wear black school shoes with closed toes as the sole footwear for everyday attendance. Trainers or sports shoes are not permitted in the regular uniform, except when pupils are wearing their designated PE kit. Open‑toed shoes and sandals are also disallowed, as they pose safety hazards and are not part of the required uniform. The shoes must be properly laced, with children not able to tie them independently, to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
PE Shoes
Pupils must wear trainers when they are wearing the PE kit for PE lessons.
Trainers are required for the PE kit at all year groups – Nursery, Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Trainers are the only footwear allowed for PE, sports or games; no other type of footwear is required for these activities.
Regular school shoes may only be worn if the child is also wearing the PE kit.
