What are the best school boots for boys?
Boys School Boots for School
According to the school uniform policy, boots are not permitted at all for boys in Years 7-11. Instead, pupils must wear formal black shoes that meet the following requirements:
- Plain black leather or leather-style shoes that can be polished
- No Velcro, large logos, embellishments, patches, or prominent tags
- No different coloured soles or stitching
- No black leather trainers or "converse" style shoes
- Laces should be plain black
Only students in Years 12-13 are permitted to wear certain boot styles - specifically Chelsea boot style or similar close-fitting ankle boots, as long as they are plain black and can be polished.
Football Boots for PE
While everyday boots are not allowed, football boots are required as part of the compulsory Physical Education kit for all boys. When participating in football or rugby, these should be worn with the appropriate safety equipment:
- Shin pads (mandatory for football)
- Mouth guard (mandatory for rugby)
Before Purchasing
If you're uncertain about whether specific footwear meets the requirements, it's advisable to contact the school before making a purchase. This can help avoid having to replace inappropriate shoes that don't conform to the uniform policy.
Black trainers, canvas shoes, plimsoles, boots, or any shoes with colored stitching or logos will not be accepted as part of the uniform for boys in Years 7-11.
